Tech Recovery Will Begin At 2:15 PM (PST) On June 21st
from the you-heard-it-here dept
National Semiconductor's CEO Brian Halla claimed that a friend of his had worked out a mathematical model to prove when the economic recovery in the tech sector would begin. Last November, at Comdex, he said that he was sure it would start on June 21st. In the past three months since that remark, he suggests his friend has refined the model to now show that the recovery will still start on June 21st, but at 2:15 PM. When asked, he clarified the point that he's talking about 2:15 PM Pacific Time. Clearly he's poking a little fun at everyone trying to predict the recovery (and his prediction still fits in with my Just Two More Quarters theory to predicting the end of the tech downturn. However, on a more serious note, he does believe that the recovery will occur and that digital video and audio will be the driving forces.
