(Big) Red Faces At Cornell Over E-Mail Error
from the ooops dept
The same exact day that we were discussing emails you mistakenly sent it turns out that (according to this NY Times article) my alma mater, Cornell, accidentally emailed out congratulations letters to 550 students they had already rejected. Ouch. It took them a little while to realize, and then they hastily sent out an "oops" message saying the emotional roller coaster ended on a down note. Maybe not quite as bad as Princeton hacking into Yale's admissions computers, but certainly up there in the admissions gaffes list.
