Fatal Shooting Linked To Nigerian Email Fraud

from the now-we-know-who-falls-for-these-things dept

The question has come up here multiples times about who actually falls for the Nigerian 419 email scam? Considering the fact that most people I know get plenty of these emails every day, it's surprising that anyone could still think they're legitimate. Apparently, a Czech pensioner who was defrauded by such a scam, decided to blame the entire country of Nigeria and proceeded to shoot a random Nigerian diplomat. So, not only was this guy greedy and gullible - but apparently violent and not so bright. On a related note, for those of you who get hundreds of these 419 email requests, you might want to make use of the 419 scam reply generator (found at GMSV) to play the various scammers off each other.
