Microsoft Takes Public Antispam Stance

from the it's-about-time dept

As the anger over spam increases, it seems like plenty of companies are coming out publicly in favor of doing anything to help stomp out spam. Now, Microsoft has gone on the offensive with a posting to their website and an a newspaper ad saying that they support "industry collaboration, new laws and continuing advances in technology" in wiping out spam. Basically, some mix of all three things is probably necessary. Whether or not you're a fan of Microsoft, so many people use their technology that any realistic spam solution will need their support. I still think the most interesting suggestion I've heard is the JamSpam consortium, which Microsoft is a part of.
