Giving Laptops To Students Would Save Money

There are plenty of reasons why school districts might want to think about giving all of their students laptop computers. Recent successes in Maine and Mississippi suggest that there can be real benefits to the learning experience. However, now, teachers in Florida have come up with (perhaps) an even more compelling reason to give all students and teachers their own laptops: turning old computer labs into classrooms will save the school district more than $30 million it would take to build the additional classroom space they need.
