Sports Are No Longer The Same After TiVo

There have been plenty of stories about how TiVo and other PVRs are likely to change advertising on television, but will they change how shows are directed as well? This article predicts that as PVRs become more common, sporting events shown on TV will make less use of replays, since viewers can do their own replays. Of course, the nice thing about the broadcast replays is that they can show different angles, which usually display the important information. Still, I'm sure that almost any kind of television show will make at least minor adjustments in the next few years to cater to the PVR-using audience.
