More Segway Reactions
from the Times-copies-the-Post dept
Last week we had the Washington Post write about the first guy in Washington DC with a Segway, and now the NY Times feels the need to write a copycat article on the first guy in New York City with a Segway. The reactions are pretty similar. Everyone wants to stop the guy, check out the Segway and ask all sorts of questions. There are, as always, a few people who have some sort of built-up anger towards the machine - whether about its potential dangers, or the fact that it encourages people not to exercise. The article does mention one aspect to the device that I hadn't heard before: it's a "chick magnet". The guy claims that, if he weren't married, it would be a great way to meet women.
