Congress Makes A Plea To Keep BlackBerrys

from the Congress-hooked-on-their-CrackBerries dept

Congress has become so addicted to their CrackBerry wireless email devices that they're getting involved in a patent lawsuit against RIM, makers of the BlackBerry. Back in November, RIM (known for being quite aggressive in enforcing their own patents) was found guilty of infringing on patents of a company called NTP. NTP is now seeking, beyond licensing fees, an injunction against RIM that would effectively shut down their service. Such a concept is so disturbing to folks in Congress that the chief administrator there has sent a letter to the attorneys of both companies begging them to work out their differences without shutting off the service.

Well maybe we can try and get these politicians hooked on P2P services so they can send these "letters" to the RIAA and MPAA.
