Caribbean Island Goes Up For Sale On eBay
from the who-needs-a-real-estate-agent? dept
First a whole town and now a large Caribbean island. The last privately owned, undeveloped island of the U.S. Virgin Islands is going up for sale on eBay. It seems that if you have some sort of quirky property to sell, the place to go (and to get lots of free publicity) is eBay. I wonder how long that "eBay publicity effect" will last? Clearly, at this point, the story is more focused on the quirkiness of selling the island on eBay instead of just the fact that they're selling the island. Sooner or later the novelty of selling quirky things on eBay has to die down. Right?
