Got A Town To Sell? Try eBay
from the you-can-get-anything-you-want dept
I've heard of people trying to sell islands on eBay before, but now someone is trying to sell a complete town in California. It's a pretty small town (about 80 acres), and there's really not much there. In fact, some people think that the list price of $775,000 is quite a ripoff, despite the fact that it would be tough to buy a house that cheap 260 miles south in San Francisco. It seems that the eBay publicity is working. When the article was written, the top bid was $357,000. As of this moment, it's $1,613,500. It's amazing how eBay makes people overspend.
