Tech Contractors Cite Rising Demand
from the a-sign-or-a-blip? dept
In the past years we've had a lot of articles questioning whether tech companies should focus on the government as a customer, and whether or not there's really a market for security related companies (despite the hype). Now, the Washington Post, has a story showing that some of the big name tech contractors and security companies are seeing increased demand to the point that they're actively hiring people. It's not often you hear of tech companies (these days) hiring large numbers of people, so for those who are desparate for some sort of optimistic news, the Post is spinning this as a possible sign that the economy could be picking up. Of course, if it's all for government work, it may be limiting over time.
