Capellas Has A $20 Million Month
from the not-so-bad dept
It seems that Michael Capellas has a pretty good gig going. First, he gets Compaq into a position where it needs to be acquired by a competitor to survive. Then, by quitting soon after the merger is completed, he gets a $14.4 million payout, plus the forgiveness of a $5 million loan. Then, he jumps industries and takes over the famously bankrupt Worldcom, who decides to give him another $5 million just to try to bring them out of bankruptcy. It would seem that he's in pretty good shape, no matter what he does with Worldcom.
