After lots of fighting, odd deals, and board room tension, it seems that Liquid Audio is finally going out of business. The group of investors that wanted to break up the company and distribute it's cash has won the boardroom battle. The signs of this happening were pretty strong a few months back when they sold off all their intellectual property to Microsoft, leaving the company with... not much besides some cash.
