Photo Sites Get Something To Smile About
from the another-business-model-panning-out... dept
As everyone has pretty much tossed off just about every dot com business model, it seems more and more are proving that they can make things work. The latest are the various online photo sites which are rapidly growing in popularity. Of course, a lot of their success has to do with the rapid adoption of digital cameras. However, the various sites say they're making a ton of sales this holiday season as people want printouts of photos (or photos on various gift items). It seems that perhaps some of these dot com ideas weren't so bad, after all. They just weren't the huge billion dollar opportunities that the hype made them out to be.
