Comcast Rates Going Up
from the well,-that-was-fast... dept
When the FCC approved the Comcast/AT&T Broadband merger last month, they said they didn't see the deal as a big threat to competition. Of course, it hasn't taken the new company long to flex their monopoly-like muscle. It seems that every day, now, I'm seeing another story about how Comcast or AT&T Broadband are suddenly raising their rates. There are stories of rate hikes in Washington DC, Kentucky, Indiana, California, Massachussetts and plenty of other places. The timing seems a bit questionable. You would think they would wait at least a few months before flaunting their new monopoly pricing strategy.
