AOL Trying Prepaid Access Plans
from the is-there-really-anyone-who-needs-this dept
With all the damn CDs that AOL has sent out over the years, do they really think that people who haven't signed up with them aren't doing it because it's too difficult? Apparently, they want to make life even easier for some to start using AOL and have taken a page from European wireless carriers by offering prepaid internet access cards. They say they're using this to go after the market of people who don't want to spend a monthly fee online, or who don't have credit cards. I wonder how many people will actually go for such a plan.
