RIAA Apparently Published Copyright Material By Mistake
from the oops dept
Apparently, it's not stealing when it's done by the people in charge of determining what theft is... It seems the RIAA, who is pushing a huge marketing campaign about how taking works that have a copyright without compensating the creator is "stealing", have been caught doing exactly that. One of the websites they run had information about how to remove some of the file sharing systems from your computer. Of course, those instructions were "borrowed" from a University of Chicago website. The site has since taken the files down.
