Children's Books Available Online

Finally a technology story to feel good about. It seems that the University of Maryland and the Internet Archive are putting 10,000 children's books online from cultures all over the world. It launched today with just 200 books to start. Many of the books (of course) are from the public domain, but they also found some publishers willing to allow their books to be put online.
