Spielberg Nation

from the the-next-revolution dept

It wasn't so long ago that desktop publishing software changed the concept of publishing. Suddenly anyone could easily create very professional looking publications without too much trouble. These days, it's looking like the same sort of thing is happening to video production. People are using inexpensive digital cameras and using the software that comes on their computers to edit footage into fairly professional looking films. Not surprisingly, of course, it's catching on very quickly with the younger generation. What I think will be most interesting, is to see what sort of films come out of these kids in a few years when they reach adulthood, with all sorts of creative ideas - and all the basic skills already set.
