The Sims For Teachers

from the everything's-a-sim dept

Last week we spoke about a new system to let government officials practice emergency situations by playing with simulations. It seems that just about everyone is trying to come up with simulation programs to letter workers be better prepared for their jobs. The latest is a simulation program for elementary school teachers that has them make decisions about what to do when little Johnny throws up in the middle of a lesson, and plenty of other scenarios they might have to deal with on a daily basis. How long will it be until we see Sims-style programs for just about every job available? Sim-telephone repairman. Sim-PR flak. Sim-CEO. Sim-B-list Hollywood actor. I sense an opportunity.
