MIT's Digital Library
from the is-this-new? dept
I'm not sure I understand how this is any different from their previously announced plan to offer all their courseware for free online, but MIT and HP today announced plans to build a virtual library of classroom materials, which will be a joint project with seven other universities. People have been talking about digital libraries for years, but I still think it may take some time before they really catch on. It will be interesting to see how people actually use such systems, as opposed to how they were predicted to use them.
