ICANN Losing Legitimacy
from the just-now? dept
It seems that more and more people are beginning to question ICANN's legitimacy in the face of their recent decision to remove all of the publicly elected board representatives. Some of the country code top level domain operators and regional internet registries are threatening to stop working with ICANN. What's amazing in all of this is that ICANN still hasn't replied to its many critics. They continue to defend their actions by telling everyone that we simply don't understand the reasons behind their decisions. Of course, that would suggest they should tell people those reasons, but ICANN-logic doesn't seem to go that far.
