Companies Censor Porn? Shocking

from the who-would-have-thunk-it? dept

The folks over at Datamonitor are apparently desparate for research topics because they wasted an entire report determining that the most censored material online is porn. As the Register points out, this is a "shocking" discovery. Who would have possibly predicted that companies would filter out porn more than any other content (the Register would have picked knitting material as the most likely to be censored)? Thank goodness the folks over at Datamonitor checked it out for everyone. They also point out that in companies that simply post surfing policies forbidding the viewing of porn, many employees (gasp!) may be violating those policies. Who says these research firms don't produce anything useful?
