Identifying People By Their Walks

from the walk-this-way,-please dept

In yet another case of life imitating Monty Python, it seems that some researchers have had enough with things like face recognition, and are trying to build systems that will identify you based on your walk. That's right, the Ministry of Silly Walks might not just be a joke anymore... They don't expect anything usable to come out of the research for quite some time, so don't worry about adjusting your walk just yet.

That is quite alright...just drink a large amount of beer right before you have to get scanned by this thing, and then swear of beer for life... Then anyone who ever gets drunk will be traced as you...and you'll never be traced again.

Then you'll be identified leaving every football stadium in the US about 62,000 times. The government will think you're Batman! :)

I am getting out my search light with the ultra-cool bat symbol attached to it as I write this...to the bat mobile...

Actually, they will probably think 62,000 people have stolen my identity. "Your honor, the prosecution cannot prove it was me beyond a resonable doubt, because the federal report by the GAO said that 62,000 people stole my id after the football games...".
