Joni Mitchell Trashes The Music Industry
from the subtle dept
Add Joni Mitchell to the list of musicians who don't necessarily feel the music industry is looking out for the musicians' best interests. In a recent interview she claims that she's "ashamed" to be a part of the industry, which she calls "a cesspool". She also says she'll never sign another recording deal - which is odd, because she just did. She doesn't necessarily elaborate on why the music industry is so bad, so I wouldn't put her in the Janis Ian category just yet.
