Nigerian E-Mail Scammers Reported On Run
from the track-them-down dept
I've often wondered why it was so difficult to track down the various 419 Nigerian email scammers. They always provide a legitimate email address and other contact information to work their scam. Yet, they never seem to get in trouble. Now, however, PC World is reporting that a group involved with a Nigerian email scam is on the run as South African authorities have already arrested 22 people suspected for being part of the scam. Amazingly, today I haven't received any Nigerian scam emails. I usually get a few each day. I would guess that they'll be back tomorrow, though.
