Spam Lawsuit Seeks $80 From Dole Campaign
from the more-political-spam dept
Political spam is bad news. It seems to be getting worse and worse, and politicians don't seem to realize that they're pissing off people with political spam emails. Now, however, a guy in North Carolina is using that state's new anti-spam law to take a stand. He's suing the Senate Campaign for Elizabeth Dole for $80 for spam messages they sent ($10 each, for 8 spams). The Dole campaign responded saying it's not spam because it's not commercial in nature.
