eBay Thinking Of Suing Political Parody Site
from the e-gray,-indeed dept
eBay is apparently considering whether or not to sue California gubenatorial candidate Bill Simon for his eGray site, making fun of incumbent governor, Gray Davis, for responding only to those who make large political contributions. While the site clearly does look a lot like eBay (on purpose), I'm not sure they'd win a lawsuit, since it's a pretty clear parody. I don't think many people would confuse eGray with eBay. Of course, eBay is now doing the Simon campaign a big favor by publicizing the site - which I'm sure was part of the plan.
