Really Tiny Tractor Beam

from the don't-lift-a-finger dept

It seems that some scientists have invented a really tiny "tractor beam" for moving small particles (such as cells) around. They name a bunch of reasons why such a device could be very useful. For example, they say that it can help with cancer patients since it can be used to separate out cancerous cells from healthy cells. Of course, my first reaction on hearing "tractor beam" is still to think about how some "evil" villain is going to try to take control of it and do some serious damage.

Now all I need is a transporter (they are working on it), matter replication unit, impulse and warp engines and I'll have my miniture Enterprise NC-1701 model constructed.

Then miniturize myself and bye-bye Captain Archer...I'll be the first real captain of the Enterprise...

    Well I can dream, can't I?
