RIAA Drops Lawsuit Against ISPs
from the for-now... dept
Well, it's unlikely that this will make much of a difference, other than delaying things a week or so until the next lawsuit pops up, but the music industry has called off their legal dogs who were suing major ISPs to force them to block access to a site that was offering downloadable music. Clearly, the entertainment industry thinks that they own all content these days, and thus should control exactly how anyone accesses it. I'm sure we'll see a similar lawsuit pop up again soon. I still think we should encourage some more major ISPs to take after Information Wave Technologies and block all access by RIAA computers.
