Yahoo Drops PayDirect Fees
from the dropping-fees? dept
Considering that Yahoo! has been doing whatever possible to squeeze a few extra pennies from just about everyone, it's a bit surprising to find out that they're pulled back from charging fees to use their PayDirect person-to-person payment system (basically, a PayPal clone). They don't explain why, but it seems pretty clear. I'd bet most people had no clue that Yahoo! offered their own such service - and it's pretty difficult to get people to sign up to pay for a service they've never heard of, when a big one they have heard of doesn't seem to charge.
