Whither Tech Future?
from the going-nowhere-fast dept
Tim Chambers writes "This is shameless self-promotion for my story at Kuro5hin: Whither Tech Future?. Kuro5hin is talking about the tech future on the front page. I say it looks disappointing, at least for the next 10 years when compared with the past 10." While Tim does link to Techdirt in the story, I think he misses the point of my earlier comments. I'm actually very optimistic about technology's future, and think there are a ton of cool things coming pretty soon. He's of the belief that what we have now is "good enough" and there aren't any killer apps coming to move us forward. My complaints aren't about the future of technology, per se, but the future of how businesses create and sell technology.
