Downloading Music Will Save The Music Biz

from the if-they-only-realize-it dept

Forrester has come out with a report saying that downloading music isn't why CD sales are down, and, in fact, downloadable music should play a big part in saving the music industry. The RIAA, because they simply refuse to listen to anything other than their preset beliefs said that they disagree. The report puts the blame for declining CD sales on the economic recession, limited radio playlists, and the high price of CDs. All of which are things that just about everyone has been telling the music industry for years - but they don't want to be bothered with things like that. Meanwhile, the RIAA is still trying to kill of webcasting, even though it would help fix that "limited radio playlist" problem.
