Hollywood Vs. The Techies
from the roundup dept
I guess it's bash Hollywood day here at Techdirt. News.com is running a good overview article discussing why Hollywood and Silicon Valley are squaring off against each other over digital entertainment. There are a few good quotes in the article, with my favorite being, "Fighting future advances to preserve the past's business models is futile". Of course, it's been shown that Hollywood doesn't like to learn from the past. In fact, they like to wallow in the past as much as possible while ignoring all of its lessons.
