Carmakers Taking A Step Back From E-Commerce

During the dot com boom, suddenly the automakers in Detroit started making weird noises about building their own e-commerce divisions. Now, of course, many carmakers are are quietly backing away from their earlier e-commerce endeavors, and taking a much more cautious approach to these things. This is probably a much healthier situation for everyone involved.
