Converging Technologies For Improving Human Performance
from the looking-forward dept
News.com is running an article about a report from the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Commerce that reads like sci-fi. It talks about various converging technologies that they think will change how humans work. It includes things like people linking their brains together or uploading portions of their brain. The article includes, of course, some "do we really want this" type stuff from people who are afraid of the future. Personally, I would like to just be able to link my mind up to Google. I think having Google as a second brain would solve a lot of problems.
