Sometimes Patents Do Work

MIT's Tech Review has an article reminding people that sometimes our patent system does actually protect inventions. I don't think anyone doubts this. However, there are so many flaws and problems with the patent system that it clearly needs to be reformed. However, it's not bad to remember every once in a while that the patent system has done some good for inventors who were being bullied by larger entities for no good reason.
