DrKoop Is Sold For $186,000
from the chump-change dept
Alex writes "Quoted by Reuters as "a case-study for the roller-coaster ride of the dot-com era", former billion-dollar company DrKoop.com is sold for $186,000." I was just reading this same article, but Alex gets credit for submitting it just before I was about to post it. It isn't news that the company got bought - since we discussed some of the problems they were having in transferring over their email list to Vitacost a couple of weeks ago. The new information is the incredibly low price for a company that was once (ridiculously) valued over a billion dollars.
