Borderless Laws Become De Facto Laws For The Internet

Here's an interesting opinion piece about how the US and the EU are starting to enact more and more "borderless laws" for the internet that apply to people and systems outside the country where the law was written. The article (written by a Canadian for a Canadian newspaper) points out that already US internet laws are affecting Canadians, even though they aren't affected by Canadian laws. The article basically says that the US and the EU are going to decide all of what's legal on the internet, and other countries are simply going to be forced to follow, if this trend continues.
