Mobile Phones Taking Away Money From Universities

Apparently universities are "worried" about students replacing landline phone use with mobile phones. It appears that many universities use the money they make on their own phone system to subsidize housing and other university expenses. However, now that many students show up with mobile phones that include free long distance (and no bill/time splitting hassles of a shared land line), many students opt to never use their land line. Some universities are warning that they may have to raise other rates to compensate for this loss of income. Of course, they'll probably make up for it by charging for internet access...
