Microsoft's Bigger Project
from the bet-the-company-many-times-over dept
Just how many times is Bill Gates "betting the company" these days? Earlier today we posted an article about the Microsoft's "bet the company" effort on trustworthy computing from Newsweek, and now Fortune is running a competing article about Bill Gates and his "bet the company" strategy for completely reinventing the operating system. The Fortune article has less details about the plans for the operating system, codenamed Longhorn, and more about the newer, more relaxed Bill Gates. However, it is interesting to see these two articles about Microsoft's projects-for-the-future come out at the same time. Seems like the kinder, gentler Microsoft PR spin is starting to take hold.
