Kids Earn Respect And Clout With Tech Skills

from the topsy-turvy dept

There have been a ton of stories over the years about how kids pick up new technologies faster than adults. That factor has been changing the amount of clout kids have both at school and at home. We've already mentioned how many schools use students for tech support, but now kids are also finding that they've become the experts in determing what sorts of technology to buy in the home as well. So, apparently, beyond bringing joy to your lives, you should look upon your kids as your own personal technology buyers' guides.

My son has discovered that his dad is NOT clueless on the computer (computer professional - system admin). He is having fun being a user. IE installing programs & trashing the machine then being locked out by the admin (dad). When you are getting D & F's on your report card, NO COMPUTER GAMES or INTERNET. His hacking skills need lots of work & I am encouraging proper use of the computer.
