The Dellification Of Business

from the not-so-easy dept

For years people have been talking about how various business models would "change the world", and how if you didn't change to follow you would be dead meat as well. A lot of those seemed to fall by the wayside, but here's an article suggesting that Dell's business model really is the one you should follow. They point out that despite Dell's success, no one else has been able to replicate their business model - but that's mainly because of legacy channel issues. As Clayton Christensen likes to suggest - for companies to really revolutionize their business, they need to have a completely separate division rebuild their own business. Definitely an interesting read.
