An Amazon.com Reviewing Star
from the and-what-has-your-life-amounted-to? dept
These days, before I buy a book, I tend to at least skim the "reader reviews" on Amazon to get a general feel for what people thought of the book. I've heard from some authors that most of the reviews of their own books were actually written by family and friends, but beyond that I've never really thought about these people whose opinions I'm basing my buying decisions on. For at least one, though, creatively reviewing books on Amazon has brought him some minor net.celebrity status. The Register seems absolutely thrilled to get an interview with Henry Raddick, who has made a name for himself out of his highly personalized review.
