Sand Hill Challenge Reaches A Dead End
from the how-sad dept
A couple years ago I went to the annual Sand Hill soap-box derby challenge to watch Dennis (Techdirt's code junky) race his soap-box car. It was a fun time, as various techies, venture capitalists, lawyers, and students from the area got to show off their stuff while raising money for charity. It was definitely a Silicon Valley sort of thing - and like the boom times it symbolized, it's now gone. Apparently, no one was willing to pay the entrance fee this year, and so the event has been cancelled.
