Canadians Take Their Work On Vacation, Too

from the this-sounds-familiar dept

A few weeks back we had an article about how technology has changed the nature of vacations, since most people spend some of their vacation time catching up on emails and voicemails. They all say that if they didn't, coming back to work would be pure hell with all of the work piled up. It seems that Canadians are facing the same issue (not that this is surprising). A Canadian article in the Globe and Mail reads very similar to the original article we posted about, except using Canadians as the example travelers. Though, this article focuses more on why this might be a bad thing - and telling people they really need to learn how to disconnect.

As long as people are stupid enough to call in to check voice mail then people will be willing to ask you to do work on your vacation.

If I am on vacation, dont call me. If the office falls apart ill be back in 2 weeks to clean it up. Otherwise deal with it.
