Chinese Accidentally Publish Parody as Real News

from the cola-flavored-sprite-to-be-released-soon! dept

Beijing's top newspaper reported today that the U.S. Congress threatened to leave D.C. unless it got a new Capitol building. Is this true? Or is this some sort of evil propaganda concocted by the Chinese to show how ridiculous Americans are.. Neither. Apparently, the Chinese newspaper sourced the story from the Onion, thinking that it was a real news site (it's a parody site). Oops. I think it's pretty hilarious. I wonder if they republished the picture of the Capitol building with the retractable dome.
