P2P (Not Really) Gambling (But Not In The US)

from the bet-on-anything dept

A US-based company has launched a software system that lets people place bets directly against each other. They describe it as a "Napster for betting", though it's unclear if there's really any P2P application needed, or if it's just a site that takes bets. It looks like they're just trying to get some publicity by jumping on the whole P2P/Napster hype train. Of course, someone should let them know that the P2P hype fad died out a year or so ago. The article points out that the company can't take bets here in the US, but is hoping to make money in other countries where online gambling is legal.
