Spammer Sues Anti-Spammer
from the how-dare-you-accuse-of-us-being-what-we-are! dept
Apparently a "known" spamming organization in Australia is suing the person they think complained about their spamming activities that got them put on the SPEWS blackhole list. It's a little unclear how they chose to sue this guy, since the article says the maintainers of the blackhole list are kept secret. They're suing for the costs of replacing their IP numbers, labor costs, the costs of a new computer, and "damages". Maybe if they weren't spamming in the first place, they wouldn't have faced those charges... Of course, the article also doesn't make it clear if the company has actually been spamming people. I imagine that other articles on this case will show up soon enough, and hopefully they'll have more details.
