Cingular Concerned About Wireless Porn

from the its-the-sex-stupid! dept

Rumor has it that Cingular plans to block porn on their wireless data services. One analyst speculates that they might be worried about having their brands associated with pornography. What will someone think if they walk by someone checking out Playboy on their Cingular wireless phone? Hey, where can I get that?

So they're gonna what, screw up the pricing *and* content?

Guess I'll have to use the pay phone at the public library to get my porn fix, heheh.

This must be a grab for some sort of attention. Anyone who knows anything, knows that it's next to impossible to block porn. We've all had our noses drug through that morass several times now. What do they hope to accomplish? The moment they say that they can or even will, there is an imposed resposibility when it [eventually] fails. They're only going to end up with something resembling egg on their face...

Who cares. This is obviously just to get attention for themselves, because franklyw ho wants to see a few dots on their cell phone, which I'm sure porn looks liek on a cell phone. It's not exactly meant to serve up graphics.

fiirst of all i cannot imagine your plan to block porn being successful, because people will find was and mean to get around it. anyway let me get to my point if people want to have porn on their phone that is their business. not cingulars and i can tell you we human being do not like when people, make our business theirs so find something resourcefull to do with your time, and money. N.B do not tell me what to do with my phone as a matter of fact you have lost a customer and i will spread the word.
